Sky Garden Restaurants & Bars
Located on the podium roof of the shopping mall and seamlessly connected with Shanxi Road, the Gateway Park is an expansive garden covering an area of about 30,000 sq m that is freely open to the public. Strolling along its slope, visitors can reach the viewing platform that overlooks Chaotianmen Square and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the convergence of Yangtze and Jialing rivers. Carefully crafted by award-winning landscape consultant WAA, the park showcases lushly-landscaped gardens, a central cascading water feature, an interactive maze fountain, and notable public art sculptures.
The 24-hour Pathway refers to an impressive four-storey straight staircase which extends from Xinhua Road, and cuts through the retail galleria, serving to connect Jiefangbei pedestrian street directly to Chaotianmen Square. The pathway is about 273m long and the stairway draws inspiration from Chongqing's unique “tikan” or “stair-terrace” characteristic, the 108 steps symbolizes Chongqing's mountainous terrain. Artefacts lining the way serve to highlight Chongqing's illustrious past and its importance in Chinese history.
